Montezuma has a number of youth programs designed to involve children and teens between the ages of 6 and 18. These sports programs for children in Montezuma are geared toward youth development through recreation, social life, prevention, intervention, and education. While visiting Montezuma, feel free to register your child in the available activities.
Youth development is a process that prepares young people to meet the challenges of adolescence and adulthood and to achieve their full potential. With the support of local and international coaches, we offer a wide variety of youth Sports programs for children in Montezuma.
Local programs engage youth in constructive action through communal activities and emphasize common values, such as friendship, citizenship, and learning.
Available classes:
Volleyball on Monday and Wednesday at 4:00 pm
and
Basketball on Saturdays at 9:00 am.

Since 2019, Montezuma offers a free surf class to the youngest in respect for the ocean and marine life. The Montezuma Surf School develops not only surf skills but improves self-confidence, motor skills and teaches young people to swim.

Montezuma offers a free soccer class/match on Saturday afternoons at 4pm for young adults.
Mini Zuma is a donation soccer class on Saturday mornings at 10am for ages 5 to 7. This class includes soccer training and interactive games that increase motor skills for young children.
A non-profit foundation using soccer to engage, inspire, and empower Costa Rican youth, providing tools and connections that drive change.
This foundation consists of three age groups that offer classes in the afternoons during the week, these also are part of the sports programs for children in Montezuma.
